Our outdoor & garden lighting service in Talke lights paths, driveways, patios and gardens with weatherproof fittings, so outside spaces are safer and easier to use after dark.

Outdoor lights need a suitable IP rating to keep out rain and dust. Wall lights under a porch need less protection than spike lights in a flower bed or uplights set into a patio. We choose fittings rated for where each one will sit.
Cables to lights away from the house are usually steel wire armoured and buried, or fixed securely along walls and fences. The circuit has RCD protection. We plan routes that avoid future digging spots such as borders and vegetable beds.
Security lights on movement sensors, dusk-to-dawn lights for paths and garden lighting on a separate indoor switch all suit different needs. We set them up so the lights come on when you need them and do not shine into neighbours' windows.
We walk round the outside of the property with you to agree where lights should go, what they need to light and how they should switch on. We check where power can come from and send a free quote for fittings, cabling and any groundwork.
On the day, we fix wall lights, run and bury or clip cables, and fit any garden lights. We connect the circuit, set sensors and timers, and test everything, ideally checking the result once it is dark. You receive a certificate for the work.
Tell us what you need or what has gone wrong. We aim to respond the same day across Stoke-on-Trent.
We look at the job, explain what needs doing and give you a free quote before any work starts.
We finish the job, test everything we have worked on and hand over the certificate for your records.
Not always. A single wall light near the house can often be added to an existing circuit. Garden lighting spread across a larger area usually works better on its own circuit with RCD protection, which is notifiable under Part P. We handle the building control notification for you.
It depends on where they go. Lights under a porch or canopy can be lower rated, while lights fully exposed to rain should be at least IP65. Lights set into the ground or near ponds need higher ratings still. We pick the right rating for each spot.
Yes. Most security lights can be angled and have adjustable sensor range and timing. We position the light and set the sensor so it covers your drive or path without lighting up neighbours' windows. Some fittings also have shields to direct the light downwards.
Yes. We can wire garden lights to a switch inside the house, put them on a timer or connect them to smart controls you can use from your phone. Many people around Audley and Talke like a separate switch for the patio and path lighting.
