A partial home rewire in Talke replaces the wiring in one part of your home, such as a kitchen, an extension or a single floor. It costs less than a full rewire and causes less disruption.

If most of your wiring tests well but one area is old, damaged or has been badly altered, a partial rewire fixes the problem without replacing everything. Common examples are a kitchen being refitted, a loft conversion, an extension or a single circuit flagged on an EICR.
Before we recommend a partial rewire, we test the existing wiring to make sure the rest of the installation is in good condition. If the whole house is in poor shape, a partial rewire would only delay the problem, and we will tell you so honestly.
The new wiring has to work safely alongside the old. That can mean adding RCD protection, improving the earthing or replacing the consumer unit if the existing one cannot protect the new circuits properly. We include anything like this in your quote.
We start by testing the existing installation and agreeing exactly which rooms or circuits will be rewired. You get a free quote that sets out the work, any changes needed at the consumer unit and roughly how long you will be without power in that area.
During the job, only the circuits being rewired are switched off, so the rest of the house can carry on as normal. When the new wiring is in, we test it along with the circuits it connects to and give you the certificate for the work.
Tell us what you need or what has gone wrong. We aim to respond the same day across Stoke-on-Trent.
We look at the job, explain what needs doing and give you a free quote before any work starts.
We finish the job, test everything we have worked on and hand over the certificate for your records.
Yes, usually. Less cable, fewer accessories and fewer days on site all keep the cost down, and there is less plastering and decorating afterwards. It only makes sense if the rest of the wiring is sound, which is why we test it before recommending this option.
Yes. A kitchen refit in Kidsgrove or nearby is a good time to rewire, because the walls are bare and the units are out. We fit new circuits for the cooker, sockets and appliances while the room is stripped, then come back to fit the accessories once the kitchen is in.
Not always. If your board has RCD protection and space for the new circuits, it can stay. If it is an old fuse box, or cannot protect the new wiring properly, it will need replacing. We check this when we visit and include it in your quote if needed.
If the work includes a new circuit or a new consumer unit, it is notifiable under Part P in England. We register it with building control for you. Work that only alters existing circuits outside special locations usually does not need notifying, but it is still tested and certified.
